Late Dr. Mary Rayappan

As a young widow, Rev. Dr. Mary Rayappan understood the implications of financial constraints while raising a family. Having lost her husband at 29 with five young children to look after, she felt stirred to be a changemaker for children in the community once her own children were settled in life. What started out as an effort with four children quickly tripled by the end of 2005. This saw her move the 12 children into a new home around the corner less than three years later. At the time of her passing in 2007, she had seen the first four children make it halfway through their secondary education.
